Florida just canceled another IT outsourcing contract. This time it was a help desk contract signed with Accenture. Before that it was data center services with BearingPoint and application management with Accenture.
According to this report, the Florida State Auditor General said the state technology office under a previous CIO hadn't done due diligence before handing out agreements to outsource : It didn't "sufficiently document its decision to outsource, did not properly evaluate the bids, and did not establish detailed contract provisions to protect state resources."
