    AIG’s Global Sourcing Group is seeking a Program Manager supporting mainframe/midtier sourcing efforts. The Program Manager will be responsible for leading and managing mainframe and midtier technology sourcing process within a cross-functional, cross-location, cross-division, framework. He/She will work with Sourcing Director, OCIO and business unit management to develop strategy for aggressively sourcing IT hardware or Software and sourcing other IT products and services utilizing formalized sourcing best practices, including consistent negotiation standards and procedures. This individual will also identify cost saving alternatives, monitor performance and suggest improvements. These responsibilities are worldwide in scope and accountability.

    What you will be doing:

    -Analyzing business requirements, supplier relationship structures and processes
    -Researching alternative supplier relationship structures
    -Performs category analysis and research to define industry structure and operating practices, supplier market structure and supplier capabilities
    -Drafts and develops requests for proposal (RFP) and other selection and supplier evaluation tools
    -Assists in building negotiation case by performing detailed financial analysis to determine should cost of specified products and services and overall financial impact of alternative agreement structures
    -Implements migration plan and detailed implementation approach for new supplier agreements and programs
    -Reports progress against major milestones for assigned sourcing initiatives
    -Compiles required information for supplier performance reviews on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis

    What is expected of you:

    He/She should have a minimum of 7 years management experience. The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree. Having a Masters degree is highly preferred. He/She must have extensive knowledge and relationships with technology vendors, and technology service providers. Must have proven project management experience, excellent communication skills, advanced computer literacy, ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, and a team building work style for a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in developing complex RFPs and conducting complex bid analysis is required. Strong supplier management/performance measurement monitoring experience and skills are necessary. Must be knowledgeable of, and experienced in, application of strategic sourcing best practices. Advanced analytical skills and demonstrated application of technology category specific cutting edge best practices are required. Must have demonstrated ability in defining, developing, and implementing strategy and programs. Must have experience in a sophisticated technology-sourcing environment. Must have solid IT experience and highly developed subject matter expertise in sourcing IT goods and services. Additionally, the individual must have a demonstrated record of initiative,
    problem solving, and adaptability. Finally, progress in, or completion of, industry designations is a plus.
