Asia to Overtake North America in Number of Developers

    I missed this story last week. IDC predicts that North America will have fewer software developers than the Asia/Pacific region starting in 2006, according to this coverage on TechWeb News.

    China and India will see the biggest growth rate through 2008, says the research firm. The total number of developers worldwide is expected to reach 14.9 million in 2008, which IDC says, is an annual increase of 9.8 percent.
