More Hazards of Offshore

On a similar topic Enterprise Systems’ author Stephen Swoyer provides fodder for thought in “Offshore Outsourcing: Success and Savings Still Elusive.” He shares recent stats from Gartner and AMR Research that suggest that companies may end up paying more for outsourcing certain functions and that failure often happen.

What struck me about Mr. Swoyer’s comments was his comparison of the go-go environment of India right now and the IT boom of the US in the late '90s. He calls the opportunities in India “possibly short-lived.”
