Here's an "odd press release," as my friend Mike called it:

The Indian Software Professionals Opposing Outsourcing (ISPOO) is a newly formed trade organization, to counter the outsourcing of software projects to India, Philippines and other countries.

According to the text, "Raj Sundra, the founder of the group, feels that outsourcing is damaging to immigrant Indian professionals, as well as US native professionals employed in the US software industry. Mr. Sundra feels that outsourcing is a devious “Trojan horse” approach that puts immigrants, students on OPT, as well as US citizens out of work in the US. Mr. Sundra feels that immigrants have an allegiance and obligation to the US economy first, and then ties to their home country afterwards."

The oddity is that the press release cites a recent incident (apparently) when "several Bollywood actresses were deported for working without the proper visa," as evidence that Indian software companies can be discriminatory in their hiring practices and in hiring foreign nationals to work in India.

    Here's the release:

    Odd.
