Outsourcing Center Editor Beth Ellyn Rosenthal provides a useful rundown on “The Top 13 Outsourcing Events in 2005 and What They Mean for 2006.”
She reminds us of many acquisitions, consolidations and remarkable growth curves that took place among both US and Indian service providers, the realization Microsoft had that services might be its newest growth engine, and that multi-sourcing became “en vogue.”
Interestingly, no mention of China. Perhaps she’d called that out in 2004, but still, it felt like not a week went by where China’s ambitions in services wasn’t on somebody’s cover page.
