Google is searching for writers who choose their words carefully and relish the spirit of competition. At least, that’s what a page says on the Google web site here.

The page includes a registration form for a writing contest Google will host in multiple India cities on September 30, 2006.

Google — along with other companies — has used the contest format in the past to attract technical talent in India. (We’ve covered that on Sourcingmag.com in a profile of Topcoder, "How To Hire Best-of-Breed Programmers for Your Project," here.

So I would say it’s a good bet that Google will be seeking writers to hire there with its latest contest. I wonder if it’s for mundane copywriting work or for something more than that.
