From photojournalist to Army officer to nightclub manager to writer, Brian Dear has lived globalization as much as he has written about it. As a Reuters photojournalist, Brian’s photos have been published in most major magazines and newspapers across the globe. Brian is a former writer-in-residence at the famed Shakespeare and Company bookshop in Paris, France. Brian has worked as a screenwriter, short story writer, novelist and journalist. Now he attempts with words what he used to capture with cameras. Currently he lives in Seoul, Korea where he teaches and writes about global security, economics and politics.
