Earlier this week I was at a meeting of women consultants here in Northern California. The topic of conversation revolved around trends for 2007 and the economic factors responsible for those trends. One of the main trends revolved around the use of offshore resources at the consultant level. While for the last couple of years it has become mainstream for the CEO’s of software vendors to talk about the "pricing" they have been getting for their offshore resources. This topic has now hit the consultant level with persons in Russia and India acting as personal assistants, posting articles, assisting with marketing research, etc. The message was, if you are not currently working with offshore resources, you had better be in 2007.
