Offshore advisory firm neoIT announced the departure of neoIT co-founder Avinash Vashistha, who, according to Global Services, plans to start a new venture called Tholons. The report describes the company as a “vehicle for global investments, advisory and management.”

neoIT said changes to its executive management line-up were intended to introduce new services, expand into new geographic markets, address industry growth and better manage demand for its services. The changes include the recent additions of global managing directors Pavan Chahal, Satyen Hombali, Chas Mullins and Gary Schneider and the expanded responsibilities of VP Eugene Kublanov.

Gary Schneider joins neoIT from Ernst & Young, where he was a partner. Schneider has advised clients across industries including energy, logistics, telecommunications, real estate and manufacturing. He is a CPA and leads neoIT’s BPO practice.

Pavan Chahal held senior management positions at Bain & Company, Liberty Mutual and Unisys. He has experience and expertise in financial services, insurance, entertainment, publishing, healthcare and life sciences. Chahal leads neoIT’s Operations Improvement Practice.

Chas Mullins held management positions at Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young and IBM. He has experience in retail, consumer products and technology verticals. Mullins heads up neoIT’s Risk Management Practice.

The newest member of the executive team is Satyen Hombali, who joins neoIT from a US-based boutique consultancy, where he was the Vice President and Chief Technical Officer. Prior to that he held senior positions at Price Waterhouse and Unilever. Hombali will head neoIT’s India operations.

Vice President Eugene Kublanov, who joined the company in 2000, has been promoted to lead the Knowledge & Research practice.
