The China Question

I would say that mainland China's latest authorizations regarding the independent status of Taiwan would fall into the category of becoming a major risk for US companies considering a Chinese firm for its IT work. Should Beijing decide to set some of its 2.5 million-troop People's Liberation Army against the island nation, surely the US will be put into the position of defending the country. After all, we are its main supporter (and arms supplier). That would pit us against China, and economic sanctions would surely become part of that.
