This brief news item on BusinessWeek.com says Disney has hired IBM and ACS as part of an outsourcing initiative involving desktop support and network management. Many of the 1,000 workers now doing that will be transferred to the service providers. Others will be laid off or offered jobs elsewhere in the company.
