November Conference on Offshoring to Eastern Europe


    Although I think of Eastern Europe in terms of its strong programming thrust, perhaps it’s time to consider it as an alternative to India and the Philippines for customer contact and business process services too — at least if you’re a European company.

    This conference, taking place in Prague in the Czech Republic November 1-3, bills itself as the “Offshore Customer Management International Conference.” Along with presentations by Thomas Cook and Lufthansa about its customer-facing outsourcing, you can take several site visits to provider firms, hear from the United Nations about how offshoring is affecting the economies of buyer and provider nations and hear from government delegations from 10 different countries.
