    AIG is currently seeking a Senior Subcontract Administrator for our Jersey City, NJ office.

    As a Senior Subcontract Administrator your will plan, organize and coordinate Procurement activities relative to the negotiation, procurement and delivery of complex fixed price contracts for the project and consultant services in the Vendor Management group of the Information Services Group Procurement Organization. You will also oversee the management of vendor relationships in order to ensure that the organization receives maximum value in terms of price, quality, and reliability.

    What You’ll Be Doing:

    • Manage the negotiations of price, terms and conditions, agreement of technical requirements and meeting of critical delivery requirements to meet the need of various business units of the Information Services Group.
    • Solicit, negotiate, award and administrate unusual, complex, high-dollar, fixed price and cost type procurements.
    • Responsible for implementing applicable policies and procedures, and for making or recommending, as the situation indicates, changes in procedures to achieve more effective and efficient operations.
    • Facilitate the timely processing of work orders and contracts through the approval cycle to executive and vendor signature.
    • Develop solutions to complex problems involving disputes and claims.
    • Research disputes and bring to resolution.
    • Advise Purchasing Director and Project Management with respect to all pertinent matters concerning the organization, project budgets, procedures and the vendor management relationship.
    • Foster good working relationships with all internal business units and vendors.
    • Manage new developments in the project workflow, interface with Legal and suppliers.

    What We Require:

    • Education: BS/MBS degree in business, management, finance or equivalent experience.
    • Institute of Supply Management certification preferred (Certified Purchasing Manager).
    • Working knowledge of CMSI (Contract Management Solutions) contract tracking system a strong plus.
    • 7-10 Years minimum related experience in a large technology organization, including procurement experience preferably within a major insurance or financial services firm (Fortune 500 or equivalent).
    • Industry level knowledge of technology, equipment, products and services specifically in the areas of software/hardware support agreements and domestic and offshore out-sourcing agreements.
    • Sharp ability to review and evaluate project statements of work, software evaluation agreements and non-disclosure agreements. Identify terms in conflict with company policy. Draft new language as required.
    • Possess skills sufficient to attain agreement on various contractual issues between project management, legal and vendors.
    • Must possess time management skills, including the ability to plan and effectively manage a high-volume workload with stringent deadlines within a complex and challenging project environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and organize workflow.
